To NA/WPN Membership

The annual meeting is quickly approaching. It will be a wonderful event and a chance to see Kentucky Horse Park. USEF and USDF have re-located their headquarters to Kentucky Horse Park. It is quickly becoming a widely known and visited attraction benefiting the equestrian community. Lexington is also home to the Thoroughbred racing industry.

We are soliciting donations for the silent auction that is held during the annual meeting. Last year's auction was a phenomenal success, and raised money to help support awards and special projects. The silent auction is fun and entertaining. It supports our organization and is a great crowd mixer.

Please consider donating an item or items to the silent auction. Do you know of a company or organization that would like to donate a product? We will give all donors recognition on the NA/WPN web site, and attach all promotional information to the item at the silent auction.

I can be reached at hbsurvey@sbcglobal.net, (714) 568-7300 (office) or (714) 744-1654 (home).

Thanks for your support, Anna Beal

Farrington coming to the USA

Majestic Gaits is very excited to announce that the keur stallion Farrington (Wellington x Doruto x Selim) is coming to stand in New Hampshire. Kathy Hickerson: "We want to thank VDL Stud for the opportunity to have this stallion here for fresh semen for our breeders." Farrington, along with Navarone, will be a backup stallion for all VDL frozen semen.

Farrington carries the famous Doruto bloodlines, which have produced top dressage horses such as Olympic Barbria, Chevalier and Ideaal. With a dressage index of 132, Farrington is known for producing dressage horses. At his performance test he received an 8.5 for the walk, 8 for the trot and 8 for the canter as well as a 9 for character. In Holland he has sired 24 star mares, 20 keur mares and 1 preferent mare.

After the stallion testing, Farrington had an unfortunate accident fracturing his hind leg making him unable to perform in sport. But since that time he his offspring have proven themselves both at keuringen and in sport, which is why the KWPN awarded him the keur predicate.

2005 Stallion Service Auction

The 2005 Stallion Service Auction was a success with much gratitude to the stallion owners. It is the generosity of their participation that makes this event possible.

John Sanzo was the high bidder with a $1,700 bid for Iron Spring's Contango. John will receive the free registration for this foal. The foal, as well as the others born out of the auction pairings, will be eligible for the $250 purse at next year's keuring. The auction raised a total of $9,200 this year.
