John Sanzo
|

|
John Sanzo has a degree in Mathematical Economics from Brown University and a Masters degree with Distinction from the Harvard Business School. He was a Managing Director with Credit Suisse First Boston and an Executive Vice President with Oppenheimer and Co., where he was also a member of the Executive Committee. He has served on the board of directors of numerous private and public corporations.
John's first involvment with horses was as an owner and competitor in the adult amateur jumper divisions. He and his wife Brenda breed four mares in the United States and Holland: two Keur Sport mares by G. Ramiro Z and Armstrong, a Keur mare by Voltaire and a Star mare by Ferro. John and his wife Brenda reside in Millerton, NY.

Willy Arts

A native of the Holland, Willy Arts rode the Reserve Champion of the 1982 Stallion Dressage Competition and the Champion of the 1983 Stallion Competition. While still in Holland, one of the stallions he trained was Champion of the Hundred Day Stallion Testing in 1983, another was Reserve Champion in 1982. Willy also rode the Under Saddle Champion in 1982, 1983, and in 1984 at Noord Holland, Utrecht, and Noord Brabant.
Following five years of intensive training at the Nederlands Hippishch Centrum in Deurne, Willy moved to California and began an association with DG Bar Ranch in Hanford, CA, were he manages the entire horse operation. His extensive show career includes dressage, hunter-jumper and eventing. He showed stallions Wanroij and Volckmar at Intermediare I and Grand Prix levels.
Willy oversees the breeding operation at DG Bar Ranch and because of his knowledge of the WPN horse and pedigrees, he has been very successful in combining sires and dams to produce top sport horses. Along with horses out of the DG Bar breeding program, he also imports horses from Holland at all levels. He prepares approximately 20 young horses for the keuring each year and has presented several successful stallion candidates.
His students have been on Medal teams for the Young Riders as well as the Junior Young Riders.

Allison Hagen

Allison is a Certified General Accountant, starting her career in
public accounting in 1984 that included two of the big five international accounting firms
before managing her own accounting practice. From 1993 to 1995, Allison and her family had
the opportunity to work and live in The Hague, The Netherlands, where she was first
introduced to KWPN horses. In 1997 she joined the private sector as CFO of an upstart oil
and gas related company which went on to list on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Allison and
her husband 'retired' from city life in 1999 and live in Central Alberta, Canada raising
mad cows (timely humor) and happy horses. She continues with contract accounting work on a
part time basis.

Christine McCarthy

|
Christine McCarthy is a resident of New York and has a varied and
extensive background in horses. She is a successful breeder, trainer, stallion owner and
former show jumper rider. Christine has been breeding Dutch Warmblood horses for the past
18 years. She is also a practicing Registered Professional Nurse, but her passion and
devotion is with horses.
She has also been an active and successful participant in Sport
Horse Breeding Classes and inspections both in the USA and in the Netherlands. She has had
a number of stallions participate in the 100 Day Stallion Performance Test here and abroad
all finishing in the top third of the group.
One of the more accomplished products of her breeding program is
the Approved stallion Idocus who is a successful Grand Prix Dressage Competitor and the
first and only stallion to be first approved by the NA/WPN then successfully presented and
approved by the KWPN in the Netherlands. Idocus participated in the 2004 Athens Olympics. A recent addition to Christine's breeding program is the young KWPN
Approved stallion Pyriet (Ferro x Ramiro x Roemer). She is currently in the process of
completing the USDF program for her Sport Horse Breeding Judges License.

Judy Reggio

Judy has been involved with horses most of her life. She holds a BS in Physical Education, was a US Pony Club Board Member, as well being a member of USDF, USEF, USET, USCTA, several regional dressage & eventing organizations, the NAWPN and the NAWPN Advisory Committee. She is also on the Board of Directors of the Meadow Brook Hounds PC. But most of all, Judy is a "people person" who enjoys sharing her knowledge.
Judy has bred and worked with Dutch horses since 1989. She has bred numerous Top Ten offspring and been nominated for Breeder of the Year. She imports frozen semen from Holland and goes to the KWPN Stallion Show whenever possible. She has attended most Annual Meetings and Keuringen. She has been an active contributor, promoter, supporter and member and is passionate about Dutch horses.
Judy knows where this organization has been and knows the potential for the future and hopes her knowledge and ideas can help the KWPN-NA grown and maximize its potential.

Susan M. Taylor

Susan and her husband live in Ithaca, MI, where they operate a 35-horse business that includes eight quality broodmares. They started breeding Dutch horses in 2000, when they imported their first mares from Holland. Their young horses have place in the Top Ten consistently and their oldest offspring are now entering the show jumping ring.
Susan also has a finance and accounting background and has been a manager in a Fortune 500 bank and insurance company. She has served on a variety of boards, at times as treasurer. She is a member of the US Pony Club, USEF and Certified Property Casualty Underwriters.
Susan has true love for sport horses and a deep interest in improving the quality and image of US bred Dutch Warmblood sporthorses as well as exploring different avenues for marketing the horses. She will work on enhancing the visibility of the KWPN and its horses in North America.

J. Ashton Moore

KWPN-NA Founder and Honorary Chairman Jeff Moore, from San Juan Bautista CA, is the Co-Founder and former Executive Director of the Dutch Warmblood Studbook in North America (KWPN-NA). He is also the co-founder and Technical Advisor of the American Vaulting Association.
As a successful competitor, he holds the Bronze, Silver and Gold medals of the U.S. Dressage Federation. He is an AHSA Senior Dressage Judge, FEI Official Vaulting Judge, AHSA Senior Vaulting Judge, AHSA Sporthorse Breeding Judge and a former AHSA Hunter and Jumper Judge. He is a National Judge Trainer and a National Judge Examiner for dressage and vaulting in the USA and Internationally.
He has conducted National Dressage Judges' Forums, National Vaulting Judges' Forums and International Vaulting Judges' Forums. Besides conducting riding clinics and judges' seminars he conducts specialized seminars in: Equine Biomechanics, Rider Biomechanics, The Learning Process in Horses, Handler's Clinics, Sporthorse Breeding Seminars.

Elizabeth Searle

KWPN-NA Co-founder Elizabeth Searle, of San Juan Bautista, CA, is an
active instructor and judge. She was a successful competitor in Hunters, Jumpers, 3-Day
Event, and Dressage.
Mrs. Searle is the co-founder of the American Vaulting Association
and served as its president for 15 years. She is the former National Vice President
of the U.S. Pony Clubs, was Vice President of the USDF for nine years and was a member of
the AHSA Vaulting Committee.
She was an FEI judge in two disciplines and has judged the US
National Dressage Championships and conducted the AHSA National Dressage Judges Forum. She
has also judged the Olympic, Pan American, World Championship and World Cup Selection
Trials, as well as serving on the Olympic Canadian Selection Panel.
She was the first woman to judge the National Mare Show in the
Netherlands and has served on the Keuring Jury of the American Holsteiner Horse
Association as well as being a member of the NA/WPN Jury from 1985 to 1999.
Currently she is Chairman of the USDF Judges Committee and
technical advisor for the California Dressage Society and the California Quadrille
Association.
