This 2007 keuring tour began at the farm of hosts Deborah and Marvin Hausman in the rolling hills of western Oregon. A large group of spectators were on hand for education, enjoyment and to support friends.

The new specialization classes were very clear and easy to follow by type and pedigree of the entrants. The flexibility of recommendations by the jury was demonstrated in one instance - #19 Tonette (Voltaire out of Monette, keur by Libero H - Nimmerdor) -owned by Shelley Campbell of Windbourne Farm -entered in the IBOP for Jumpers, was encouraged to be judged as a hunter-type and thus her scores were given as a hunter. With beautiful front end style, care, scope and attitude she easily attained the keur predicate.

The jury was curious to see UB 40 foals this year and the first foal class of the tour offered three of them. They were consistent in type and movement and all earned the orange first premium ribbon. The best of the class was Carissa WS bred by Carrie O'Brien of Willow Spring Farm. The filly was very well-developed, long-lined, leggy and extremely uphill in trot. In second place was the elegant, light-footed and supple Florencio filly, Cymphony, bred and owned by Cynthia Sanders.

Abamba, owned by Deborah Hausman of Quailhurst, was an especially beautiful mare in the 2 year old class.

Calypso, by Coconut Grove xx, convinced the jury to award a first premium with the quality of her canter (most important gait for a jumper-bred horse).

A highlight for both spectators and the jury was the presentation of Zion JC, bred and owned by John and Carol Nemchick. This young stallion is a Dutch Harness Horse of the highest caliber in type, quality, substance and movement.
